Pastoral Scheme
As a Parish we are in contact with many elderly people in our villages and are aware of many needs that they may have, in particular loneliness. Anyone can be part of our pastoral scheme whereby they are given a person that they can contact if they would like a visit, may need a lift to a hospital appointment or to ask for prayer. The Pastoral contact keeps in contact with the people on their list at least once a month either by phoning or visiting.
For more information on either serving within the Pastoral team or if you are an elderly resident of our parish looking to be a part of this scheme then please contact the church offices on 01444 400221.
Events
Spotlight Service
The “Spotlight Service” is on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 10.30AM at All Saints Church in Handcross. It is a quiet and reflective service lasting about three-quarters of an hour. There is a talk, sometimes following a theme, sometimes a “one-off” and a few traditional hymns. You are invited to stay afterwards for coffee or tea and biscuits and the chance to get to know each other a little better. Lifts can be arranged if necessary.
Even though most of the members are retired, life can still be very busy and we aim to draw aside, to let God be the centre of all that we do. Do come along if you haven’t been before, we’d love to welcome you.
